Dragonair to cancel several flights due to Super Typhoon Soulik
Disruption may last until Saturday.
In a release, Dragonair announced last Thursday that based on the latest weather forecast regarding Super Typhoon Soulik, the airline expects disruption to its flights to and from Taipei, Fuzhou and Wenzhou from Friday night to Saturday.
Taiwan
All flights scheduled to operate Hong Kong and Taipei with departure or arrival time from 6:00pm 12 July (Friday) to 1:00pm 13 July (Saturday) will be cancelled. However, we expect to operate our flights to and from Taichung and Kaohsiung as scheduled.
Passengers who are booked onto flights to, from or via Taipei departing during this period are encouraged to either advance or postpone non-essential travel. The airline will waive re-booking and re-routing charges for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 11 July for travel on Dragonair to and from Taipei between 12 and 13 July.
Eastern China
All flights scheduled to operate between Hong Kong and Fuzhou or Wenzhou on 13 July (Saturday) will be cancelled.
Passengers who are booked onto flights to or from Fuzhou or Wenzhou departing on 13 July are encouraged to either advance or postpone non-essential travel. The airline will waive re-booking and re-routing charges for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 11 July for travel on Dragonair involving Fuzhou or Wenzhou on 13 July.
Passengers are reminded that the situation can change rapidly and are advised to check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.dragonair.com, before departing for the airport. They are advised to update their contact details in the Manage My Booking section on the website.
The airline will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates should there be any changes to the flight schedule.
