Air Pacific opens A330 flights to Hong Kong
To add third weekly Hong Kong service in January 2014.
The first A330 commercial flight to Hong Kong from Nadi took place April 6. Colorful and traditional Chinese and Fijian ceremonies marked the event at the Nadi International Airport, Fiji’s largest. Air Pacific will be rebranded Fiji Airways on June 30.
Air Pacific has established a new office in Hong Kong to manage strategic marketing and sales partnerships in Hong Kong, mainland China, Southeast Asia and other destinations. It is the only airline that operates direct Hong Kong-Fiji flights.
Air Pacific Managing Director and CEO Dave Pflieger said the airline was excited to showcase the new A330 flagship to key destinations now serviced by its B747s.
“Hong Kong is an important market for Air Pacific, and we’re committed to Hong Kong residents and those who transit through this award-winning airport,” Pflieger said.
Air Pacific launched in Nadi-Hong Kong direct flight in December 2009 and through its code-share partnership with Cathay Pacific, its international network now extends through Hong Kong to Southeast Asia, continental Europe and the United Kingdom.
