Cathay Pacific fuel surcharge to rise 11% in February 2011

The Civil Aviation Department has approved passenger fuel surcharge increases for Cathay Pacific and All Nippon Airways for February.

According to Hong Kong Services Information Department, the airlines' short-haul maximum fuel surcharge will rise 11% to $143. Cathay Pacific's surcharge for long-haul flights will rise 9% to $677.

The department reviews passenger fuel surcharges regularly. The last review was done at the end of December.
