Cathay Pacific to hit pre-pandemic capacity levels by end of 2024
In 2022, the airline expects to hit one-third of its capacity.
It will take two years before Cathay Pacific returns to its pre-pandemic operations, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Based on IATA’s forecast, the airline will only be able to operate 100% of its pre-pandemic passenger flight capacity by the end of 2024.
Next year, 2023, IATA expects the airline to operate 70% of its pre-pandemic capacity.
In 2022, Cathay expects to hit one-third of its pre-pandemic capacity, following the addition of about 3,000 passenger flight sectors from October until the end of December.
