Cathay Pacific to launch direct Adelaide-Cairns-Hong Kong flights
New service will begin 2014.
Cathay Pacific will launch direct flights from Adelaide and Cairns to Hong Kong next year and will shift all Melbourne and Brisbane flights to non-stop status.
The airline's new schedule, which will take effect March 30, 2014, will no longer see Adelaide flights routed via Melbourne, or Cairns services via Brisbane.
Adelaide's daily flights to Hong Kong via Melbourne, however, will be reduced to four direct flights per week. There will also be four direct Cairns-Hong Kong flights per week.
Brisbane will also see a re-timing of its daily CX146 service to Hong Kong, with departure shifting to 1:00 am to reach Hong Kong at 7.45 am (compared to the current 10.55 am/5.55 pm schedule).
On March 30, 2014, all of Cathay’s 21 weekly Melbourne flights will be non-stop to Hong Kong.
