Will increase passenger capacity by 36%.

Philippine budget airline Cebu Air Inc. or Cebu Pacific is will upgrade the aircraft used in its Manila-Hong Kong-Manila flights in September.

Cebu Pacific will use its second new Airbus A330 with a seating capacity of 436 and scheduled to arrive in September for its Manila-Hong Kong-Manila route.

The Airbus A330 will replace the 180-seater A320 from Sept. 16 to Oct. 4 to accommodate more passengers.

Cebu Pacific said there is a great degree of interest in travel to Hong Kong. The airline wants to continuously stimulate this demand with its lowest fares and more flights and routes. It claims to offer the most number of routes to Hong Kong.

Cebu Pacific flies four times daily from Manila to Hong Kong, daily from both Clark and Cebu to Hong Kong, and twice weekly from Iloilo to Hong Kong.

The airline is holding a P999 (US$22.83) seat sale from Manila until Aug. 7 or until seats last. The P999 seats are for travel from Sept. 15 to Nov. 30.
