Fuel surcharge for short-haul flights up 15%

The new maximum surcharge will be $165 for short-haul flights and $747 long-haul flights.

According to Hong Kong Information Services Department, the Civil Aviation Department today approved passenger fuel surcharge rises for Cathay Pacific, All Nippon Airwarys and Singapore Airlines for March.

The surcharge allows airlines to partially recover increases in operational costs due to fluctuations in aviation fuel prices.
