Hong Kong International Airport handled record 983 flight movements

The figure broke the single-day record of 973 flight movements set on December 17.

According to Hong Kong Information Services Department, the new daily record was set last 31 March.

It also exceeded the daily average of 891 movements by 10.3%, said the Civil Aviation Department.

510 flight movements were handled through the Hong Kong Flight Information Region. This makes a total of 1,493 flights handled by the department within the 24-hour period.
