Quality HealthCare wins Technology Excellence Awards for Mobile – Health Products & Services
It elevates patient experience to a whole new level with the new version of mobile app.
Hong Kong Business lauded Asia's premier business in technology innovation during the second Technology Excellence Awards (TEA). The awardees were exceptional companies who have made noteworthy contributions through the most innovative and exceptional IT techniques and solutions that boosted their enterprise’s growth and enhanced customer experience in Hong Kong.
Quality HealthCare won the TEA for the Mobile – Health Products & Services category for its new mobile app platform.
The Quality HealthCare mobile app provides convenient, speedy and efficient patient experience, regardless of time and location and contains features that can significantly cut down waiting time spent in clinics along with possible cross-infection.
In the first few months of COVID-19, many patients were hesitant to go to hospitals and clinics and wanted a remote alternative. Similarly, physicians turned to telemedicine to efficiently respond to the demands of the crisis.
With the persistence of the global pandemic, the Quality HealthCare app has become more relevant than ever, since it allows patients to get e-tickets before going to GP consultations, make appointments electronically for specialists, dentists, Chinese medicine, physiotherapy and physical check-ups. Quality HealthCare’s virtual doctor consultation services will also soon be incorporated within the same app, along with door-to-door medication delivery to support patients whilst they remain in their homes.
“During COVID-19, people tended to minimise their visits and reduce the time spent in clinics. This app gives people another option, not just the convenience, but also peace of mind when safety is a big concern,” said Elaine Chu, general manager of Quality HealthCare.
Importantly, the app is striving to increase awareness of mental health and well-being as it ushers the industry to move towards preventive care. It grants users round-the-clock access to the company’s all-inclusive healthcare products and services, which covers physical and mental health services, health screening and vaccine, nursing and senior care, healthy living, as well as smart health products.
“We are enhancing our mobile app with more features such as online health workshops and activities that will promote overall well-being,” added Chu. “We are moving on a digital journey with our customers, providing online and offline services to satisfy changing customer needs in the healthcare environment, making healthcare safer and easier for everyone.”
As of writing, the application has witnessed 73,000 members with more than 165,000 e-tickets issued since the second quarter of this year.
