Recently introduced to Hong Kong, its TWIN passenger elevator is the industry’s first system with two independent cars, one on top of the other, in one shaft. It gives users the same conveyance capacity in 25% less space as well as introduces brand-new traffic concepts whilst setting a new standard in high performance. One of Hong Kong’s leading private hospitals is already installing TWINs in its facilities.
With TWIN, both cabins use the same guide rails and landing doors with each car equipped with its own traction drive, controller, ropes, counterweight, and governor. An intelligent Destination Selection Control (DSC) system gets people to their destination faster by grouping together individuals travelling to the same floor.
TWIN also boasts a TÜV-tested safety concept to satisfy even the most stringent requirements.
Its robust components handle potential damage from stretchers, food carts and the general public. Features for sight- and hearing-impaired passengers ensure compliance with mandatory codes. Furthermore, its accurate floor levelling makes entering and exiting elevators a safe and smooth experience.
For older facilities, the firm’s flexible modernisation packages allow clients to enhance system’s security, capacity, comfort, speed, aesthetics, access, and energy efficiency, adapted to specific needs to ensure the system’s optimal performance.
