13 building plans approved in April

Apartment and commercial developments dominated monthly construction plans.

The Buildings Department approved a total of 13 building plans in April.

Eight plans were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments whilst four were for commercial developments and one for a community services development.

The department issued a total of 25 occupation permits whilst consent was given for work to start on nine building projects that will provide 150,327 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use and 83,045 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

The declared cost of new buildings completed in April was $12.8b.
