
Buildings dep’t approves 13 plans in November
It also gave the green light to start works on 11 building projects.
The Buildings Department approved 13 building plans in November ranging from commercial, industrial, to residential developments.
In a statement, the department said two of the 13 approved plans were in Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon, and five in the New Territories.
A total of eight were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, two were for commercial developments, two were for community services developments, and one was for factory and industrial.

It also gave consent to start works on 11 building projects in November which will provide 210,471 square metres (sqm) of gross floor area for domestic use across 2,595 units, and 83,060 sqm of gross floor area for non-domestic use when completed.
It has received notification of the commencement of superstructure works for nine building projects and issued 16 occupation permits, three of which were in Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories.
The gross floor area for domestic use of buildings certified for occupation was 53,034 sqm involving 1,355 units, and 168,627 sqm for non-domestic use.
The department said the declared cost of new buildings completed in November reached about $10.8b.
It also issued 11 demolition consents involving 11 building structures, and received 3,023 reports about unauthorised building works (UBWs) in November. It also issued 1 974 removal orders on UBWs.
