“It is a rare opportunity to acquire an en-bloc hotel located in a core tourist area,” said Thomas Chak, co-head of capital markets & investment services at Colliers | Hong Kong.
Chak noted the sale of Kimberley Hotel earlier in 2023 for HK$3.4b, which based on transaction value puts each room to be worth about HK$6.28m.
“This property is situated at a prime commercial location with a good occupancy rate. Investors should seize this opportunity to acquire this asset as tourism is still picking up, and to enjoy a stable rental income with appreciation potential when the global economy and tourism fully bounce back,” he added.
