Hong Kong challenges Guizhou companies to go global
InvestHK asks firms to access overseas markets through HK.
Invest Hong Kong hosted a seminar in Guiyang, Guizhou to encourage Guizhou companies to go global through Hong Kong. The seminar was organized by InvestHK in partnership with the Trade Office of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government and the Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce.
Victoria Tang, Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion in Guizhou, said Hong Kong and Guizhou are both members of the pan-Pearl River Delta zone and that both have very close economic ties.
“Hong Kong is a key conduit of foreign investment in and out of Guizhou. The province also looks set to benefit from the continued development of the western part of the nation, as spelled out in the National 12th Five-Year Plan,” she said.
She noted that the internationalization of Guizhou enterprises has become inevitable as mainland enterprises are encouraged to go global.
InvestHK takes responsibility for foreign direct investment and support overseas. It encourages mainland and Taiwan businesses to set up or expand in Hong Kong by providing free advice and customized services to help businesses succeed in Hong Kong.
