
Hong Kong and Taiwan to review partnership successes
Will meet in Hong Kong on September 27.
The meeting of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Promotion Council (ECCPC) and the Taiwan-Hong Kong Economic and Cultural Cooperation Council (THEC) will review the achievements and progress made on various cooperation areas in the past year.
It will also make recommendations on the direction of cooperation between the two partners in the coming year. The ECCPC-THEC platform for Hong Kong and Taiwan was established in 2010 to discuss cooperation on public policy matters between the two sides.
The two Councils have already held three joint meetings and agreed on taking forward various priority cooperation areas on economic, cultural, tourism, social livelihood, and city management fronts.
The meeting will be co-chaired by the ECCPC Chairperson Charles Lee and THEC Chairman Liu Te-shun. ECCPC Honorary Chairperson John Tsang, will deliver opening remarks at the meeting.
