
Hong Kong economy's deficit hit $11.3b
Expenditure hit $34.9b in May.
The Government recorded an $11.3 billion deficit in May, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau announced. It saw expenditure of $34.9 billion and revenues of $23.6 billion during the month.
Government expenditure for the two months ending May 31 amounted to $69.9 billion, with revenues of $65.2 billion, bringing the cumulative year-to-date deficit to $4.7 billion.
Fiscal reserves stood at $949 billion as at May 31.
