
Hong Kong government's surplus hit $49.7b

The Government recorded a $49.7 billion surplus in December, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau announced.
It saw expenditure of $38.09 billion and revenue of $87.84 billion during the month.
Government's expenditure for the nine months ending December 31 amounted to $339.1 billion, with $404.5 billion in revenue, bringing the cumulative year-to-date surplus to $65.4 billion.
Fiscal reserves stood at $908.3 billion as of December 31.
