Hong Kong reappoints HKSTP Chairman of the Board of Directors
The new members and reappointees will serve for two years starting on 1 July.
The Hong Kong Government has reappointed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), as well as its five members, and appointed four new members to the board.
In a statement, the Government reinstated Sunny Chai as the chairman of the board of HKSTP.
In a statement, HKSTP said Chai’s leadership has driven innovation and technology ecosystem and reinforced the collaboration between the government, industry, academia, and research sectors.
From 2018 to the present, the number of HKSTP’s Park companies has increased from around 600 to 1,800.
Meanwhile, the government named Dilys Chau, Susanna Hui, Timothy Leung and Eunice Yung as the new members.
Conrad Chan, Stephanie Ma, Daryl Ng, Samson Tam, and Phoebe Tse, meanwhile, were reappointed as members of the board.
“HKSTP is confident that, under the leadership of Dr Chai and with the Board's comprehensive experience and industry knowledge, we will remain committed to fully supporting innovation and technology enterprises,” it said.
“This commitment includes nurturing and attracting local and international talent, assisting businesses in accelerating the translation of research and development, leverage investors network for fundraising, and expanding into international markets,” it added.
