Hong Kong, Zhongshan to reinforce cooperation
They will cooperate in various areas such as finance and trade, amongst others.
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee and CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee Secretary Guo Wenhai met on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the cooperation between the two places.
In a press release, the Hong Kong government said Lee cited that the market is the largest source of external investment in Zhongshan, adding that it can contribute to improving finance, logistics, trade, technology, management, and professional services in Zhongshan. They can also collaborate on manufacturing and other industries.

Lee added that Zhongshan has been supportive of the dedicated team for attracting businesses and talents under the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong reaching out to local enterprises and talent to develop in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong will also leverage its professional services and financing platform advantages to attract enterprises to expand businesses in Zhongshan and other Greater Bay Area cities.
Lee also said that Hong Kong and Zhongshan could easily facilitate and deepen their cooperation as travel time has been reduced following the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge.
