Hong Kong's 2017 inflation forecast to hit 1.8%
It was revised down from Hang Seng Bank's 2.4% forecast previously.
According to Hang Seng Bank, on the consumer price front, consumer price inflation averaged 0.6% in the first three months of the year as food prices (excluding meals outside the home) followed the Mainland’s food prices on their way down due to unseasonably warm weather.
"As such, we have revised down our full-year inflation forecast to 1.8% from 2.4% previously."
