
Hong Kong's February deficit hit $6.2b
Surplus is dragged to $75.7b.
According to a release, the Government recorded a $6.2 billion deficit in February, bringing its net surplus down to $75.7 billion up to end of that month.
The Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau reported that the Government’s expenditure for the 11-month period ending February, was $338.7 billion while revenue was $414.4 billion.
Expenditure in March is expected to exceed revenue, resulting in a deficit for the month and further reducing the cumulative surplus.
Fiscal reserves stood at $744.8 billion as at February 28.
