
Hong Kong's foreign reserve assets edged up to US$306.5b
It's 52% of HK$ M3.
According to the Monetary Authority, Hong Kong’s official foreign currency reserve assets amounted to US$306.5 billion as at the end of April, compared to US$303.8 billion at the end of March.
Including unsettled forward contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets at the end of April stood at US$307 billion. The figure was US$303.8 billion at the end of March.
The US$306.5 billion in assets represent over seven times the currency in circulation or about 52% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
