OLA to continue subsidy efforts under Anti-Epidemic Fund's 6th round
The application period is set to last until 17 March.
The Office of the Licensing Authority (OLA) announced its efforts to continue the distribution of subsidies under the sixth round of the Anti-Epidemic Fund.
Programs covered by this scheme are applicants under the Licensed Guesthouses Subsidy Scheme, the Club-house Subsidy Scheme, the Amusement Game Centres (AGCs) Subsidy Scheme, and the Mahjong/Tin Kau (MJ/TK) Licence Holder Subsidy Scheme.
The application period for the Licensed Guesthouses Subsidy Scheme and the Club-house Subsidy Scheme is set from 17 February to 17 March, whilst the AGCs Subsidy Scheme and MJ/TK Licence Holder Subsidy Scheme are set to be open from 21 February to 21 March.
As of writing, 1,303 applications have been received under the four schemes, with 282 applications being approved. Over $30m of subsidies have been approved.
Under the scheme, the Licensed Guesthouses Subsidy Scheme provides a subsidy of $50,000 (with one to five licensed guest rooms) or $80,000 (with six licensed guest rooms or more). Meanwhile, the Club-House subsidy scheme, the AGCs Subsidy Scheme, and the MJ/TK Licence Holder Subsidy Scheme provide a subsidy of $100,000 to those eligible with valid Certificates of Compliance. An additional $50,000, will be provided to those who also operate karaoke establishments, nightclubs and bars in their clubhouse premises.
