Pollution at Central “Very High”

The index was 102 as of 6 a.m. on April 8.

The Environmental Protection Department said its roadside-monitoring stations in Causeway Bay reported an index of 78 while the Mong Kok index stood at 92.

Roadside pollution of more than 100 triggers a government warning for people with heart or respiratory illnesses to avoid prolonged stays in heavy-traffic areas.
