HKEX, China Beijing Green Exchange sign MOU on green initiatives

Promoting sustainable finance will be one of the agreement’s focuses.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China Beijing Green Exchange (CBGEX) on promoting green initiatives.

Under the MOU, HKEX and CBGEX will cooperate in building an ESG ecosystem, promoting sustainable finance, and contributing to the green development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The two exchanges will also research the carbon market.
