Fatty Crew unveils festive season menu
As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, come on over to Old Bailey Street, and join the Fatty Crew for some good ‘ol fashioned holiday spirit (that you may not want to tell the kids about). These edgy urbanites will spread the Fatty love with a special selection of seasonal cocktails available throughout the month of December as well as Hors D'œuvres for private events, and a special Christmas menu available on Christmas day at the restaurant.
Head bartender Joao Paulo Balzani has crafted a list of seasonal flavours to be savoured by those looking for a bit of Christmas good-ness, New-York style. Relish in the all-time favourite Mulled Wine (HK$ 110) made with red wine, whiskey infused with apple-cinnamon, spice syrup, orange peel and some holiday cheer. Santa’s Stocking (HK$ 120), a shaken up mix of white rum, camomile syrup, fresh raspberry, lime and cream is the perfect sweet beginning to the festive season. For something more traditional, a cup of fresh Noggin’ (HK$ 120) prepared with whipped eggs, cream, milk, cloves, vanilla and house made irish-cream should do the trick. Nothing is truly complete at Fatty Crab without a kick of spice. Sip on the Xmas Crusta (HK$ 110), a combination of gin, homemade lime cordial, anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg on the rim to get your festive spice fix.
A menu comprising of assorted Hors D'œuvres (Choice of 4 at HK$140 per person, Choice of 6 at HK$210 per person and a Choice of 8 at HK$280 per person) is also available for corporate and private events throughout the festive season. Featuring Fatty Devils – deviled eggs and sambal aioli, Crab Cakes with Salsa Verde – jumbo lump crab meat, and Beef Satay – grilled hanger steak, amongst other dishes.
To add to that spirit, Chef De Cuisine Kristofor Olbrich has created a Christmas Menu, available on the day (HK$ 800 per person), which includes a unique selection of Fatty Christmas specials such as Turducken – a New York favourite consisting of a chicken stuffed into a duck, which is, in turn, stuffed into a turkey. (For those not so inclined, they can opt for the lobster). It is to be accompanied with soft shell crab salad, bacon gravy, XO sausage stuffing, cranberry chutney, smoked mashed potatoes, roasted turmeric cauliflower, wok fried snow peas with Thai chilli, carrots with palm sugar glaze, and finally apple pie with hazelnut ice cream and salted caramel.
