2 bottled beers recalled

Feared to contain glass fragments.

According to a report, the Centre for Food Safety today urged the public not to drink two kinds of bottled beer which might contain glass fragments.

The affected products are Carlsberg 500ml and SKOL 640ml bottles produced on September 29 or 30. They have the codes '29 09 14' or '30 09 14' printed on the bottles or labels.

Brewer Carlsberg Hong Kong is recalling the products after it found bottle mouths broken during routine checking at its Huizhou brewery last week. Production was stopped and all product shipments were held.

The brewer has set up an enquiry hotline (3189 8282).

The centre will monitor the recall.
