Deliveroo rolls out breakfast service
People may now order food beginning 7:45AM on weekdays.
Food delivery giant Deliveroo has announced the launch of its breakfast service for Hong Kong customers, shortly after the government banned all dine-in services from restaurants. Under the new service, people may order food starting from 7:45AM on weekdays and 9:00AM on weekends.
Deliveroo is also offering a 20% discount on all pickup orders in selected restaurants for the next two weeks. Recently, the company announced that it is reducing restaurant pickup commission rates to 3% until end-September. Deliveroo also extended its delivery hours until 11:30PM and unveiled the “Here to Deliver” campaign.
The company said that it has made a recent 8-digit investment in its pickup service to help more restaurant partners and consumers enjoy food safely. For July, Deliveroo offered over 7,000 promotions this month, which earned its restaurant partners over $50m (US$6.45m) of sales.
Deliveroo plans to further offer over 2,000 discounts over the next few weeks to drive traffic back to its partners in this tough time.
