Party time! Gov’t eases distancing measures in bars, clubs
The new measures will take effect on 6 October.
Starting 6 October, bars, pubs, clubs, and nightclubs can allow six persons per table instead of four.
The government likewise increased the maximum number of people allowed per table in catering presses from eight to 12.
For banquets, the government allowed a capacity of 240, from the previous 120.
On 6 October, the government will also lift the suspension mechanism for cruise-to-nowhere itineraries, and increase the limit on the number of people per group for all activities on scheduled premises from eight to 12.
The government said it eased some distancing measures to “enable more social and economic activities" to strike a balance between transmission risk and economic vitality.
