StartupCare and Generali launch digital platform for group health insurance
The app offers 24/7 pre-diagnosis and e-claim services.
Insurtech StartupCare, in partnership with Generali Hong Kong (Generali) has launched an all-in-one digital healthcare platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the company announced.
StartupCare aims to deliver seamless end-to-end insurance process within the app for both employers and employees. Starting from $1,800 per year, the app offers 24/7 pre-diagnosis on symptoms, a medical provider finder with over 2500 providers, doctor’s appointment scheduling, and e-claim services.
Through the app, StartupCare targets to help employers achieve employee retention through flexible and cost-effective group medical plans.
SMEs’ HR teams do not need to spend time meeting agents physically. A professional consultation team is available online to solve questions regarding group medical insurance plans, increasing efficiency and lowering administrative costs.
StartupCare’s insurance plans include extensive coverage, such as local and overseas general, Chinese medical practitioner consultations, physiotherapy, dental, and private hospital medical services.
The app also includes a step tracker where users will be able to monitor their daily walking workouts, as well as exclusive yoga and fitness vouchers from across health-related merchants in Hong Kong.
A survey by StartupCare found that employees’ health-related problems cost enterprises $100m for loss of productivity. On average, employees take 4 days of sick leave a year and over 60 percent of respondents insisted on going to work under mental health strains.
