Hong Kong HA enhances medication delivery service
More than 100 collection points are added to the service.
The Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) has expanded its delivery service with the addition of more than 100 community collection points.
The service covers most medications, including refrigerated items, except for controlled medications classified as dangerous drugs under the laws of Hong Kong.
Patients attending specialist/general out-patient clinics, discharged from hospital, or receiving accident and emergency services from all HA hospitals and clinics can collect their medications at any of the community collection points.
They must collect their medications within three working days and show the medication collection QR code in the HA Go app for identity verification.
Patients can also have their medication delivered to a designated address. A fee of $65 per prescription will be charged for the service, with no additional fee required by the partnered pharmacies.
More than 21,000 patients have opted for the medication delivery service since its launch in March 2023.
