Whew!: Missing personal data of employees' compensation applicants found

The data remained intact with the envelope still sealed when found in Tuen Mun Hospital.

A report by the Information Services Department said the Labour Department will continue its investigation into the case, and has improved the current mode of dispatch arrangements with hospitals.

The envelope, which contained the personal data of 56 people applying for employees' compensation, went missing on 27 October 2011.

The incident has been reported to Police and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
