Here's more from Skyscanner:
Skyscanner’s data also revealed that most Hong Kongers, in looking to make the most of the three-day Chinese New Year public holiday, were looking to depart on 5 (Friday) and 6 (Saturday) of February. Close to 40 per cent of people looking to travel over the 1-14 Feb period were looking to depart over these two days.
Fang Fang, Senior Marketing Manager of Skyscanner Greater China says: “By just taking two days of leave on 11 and 12 February, you can turn the three-day public holiday into a nine-day vacation.”
“With longer-haul destinations like London (#10), Sydney (#17) and Melbourne (#20) figuring within the Top 20, it looks like some savvy Hong Kong travelers may be doing just that, and taking this opportunity to venture further afield.”
