HKTB and Traveloka collaborate to promote Hong Kong in Southeast Asia
Over 3.7 million of HK's visitors in 2023 came from SEA and East Asia.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has tapped Traveloka as its travel partner in Southeast Asia.
As a partner to HKTB, Traveloka will “showcase the charm and beauty of Hong Kong to travellers across Southeast Asia and invite them to experience everything the city has to offer. “
Traveloka will run Hello Hong Kong Campaign deals from February 5 to May 12 on its app.
The offers in the app span flights, hotels, and travel activities.
In 2023, the number of international tourists arriving in Hong Kong surged to 33 million, marking a 60-fold increase from 2022. Over 3.7 million of the city's visitors came from Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
"Partnering with Traveloka is pivotal for us as it unlocks the tourism potential in Hong Kong and helps us understand consumers better. Therefore, we aspire to this collaboration not only to attract more travellers from Southeast Asia to explore the charms of Hong Kong but also to contribute positively to the aviation and hospitality industries in the region,” Liew Chian Jia, Regional Director, Southeast Asia of Hong Kong Tourism Board, said.
