Visitor arrivals up 14.7% in May
Appreciation of the yuan against the Hong Kong dollar was named one of the drivers.
A Reuters report said, “The figure brings cumulative arrivals for the first five months of 2011 to about 16.3 million, up 14.5 percent from the same period last year.”
Sustainable economic growth was also noted as to have encouraged mainland visitors to come to Hong Kong.
