Visitor arrivals hit 4 million in February
About 80% of Hong Kong's visitors travelled from the Mainland.
The Chinese New Year holidays and various festive mega events brought 4,001,190 visitors to Hong Kong in February, the Hong Kong Tourism Board reported.
The February record reflects a YoY increase of about 1.7x.
Approximately 80% or 3,246,000 of these visitors are from the Mainland, almost twice the number of last year.
Meanwhile, there were 755,279 non-Mainland visitors, reflecting a 113.8% YoY increase.
For the first two months of 2024, there were 7,830,000 visitor arrivals recorded, representing a three-fold increase from the same period in 2023, with daily visitor arrivals of about 130,000.
