HK launches $3b Artificial Intelligence Subsidy Scheme
Eligible users may be subsidised up to 70% of the service list price.
Hong Kong has allocated $3b for the recently launched Artificial Intelligence Subsidy Scheme that will run for three years.
The scheme aims to support local universities, research institutes and enterprises in leveraging the computing power of Cyberport’s AI Supercomputing Centre (AISC) to achieve scientific breakthroughs.
Upon approval by the Committee of the AI Subsidy Scheme, eligible users may be subsidised up to 70% of the service list price of the AISC.
The AISC’s computer power will progressively increase to reach a level of around 3,000 petaFLOPS.
Eligible organisations are welcome to submit applications to Cyberport with the first-phase facility expected to start operations within the year. A hybrid information session will be held on 10 October.
