KPMG and Alibaba Cloud tie up to launch global digital alliance
The collaboration aims to provide digital assistance to businesses in APAC and Europe.
KPMG has tied up with Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, as they set out to form a global alliance that aims to provide digital assistance to businesses across industries in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Leveraging on Alibaba's formidable expertise in cloud computing and KPMG's wide network and business acumen, the global alliance will accelerate the digital transformation of companies with a focus on new retail, IT strategy consulting and cloud-based solutions.
It will also provide an avenue for KPMG clients in APAC and Europe seeking access to the China market to establish local cloud services from Alibaba Cloud.
"As businesses continue to embark on their cloud transformation strategies to address these challenges, they can feel confident that KPMG and Alibaba Cloud teams around the world together can address their specific needs for global, scalable, cloud-based digital solutions,” Honson To, chairman of KPMG China and Asia-Pacific region said in a statement.
KPMG and Alibaba Cloud will set up joint strategy teams composed of engineers and software and systems architects that will develop cloud infrastructure solutions for clients. KPMG specialists will also receive training and certification from Alibaba Cloud in enterprise internet architecture, cloud computing and security, big data and RPA.
