Human-driven content vs AI-generated: Which do Hongkongers prefer?
In consumer marketing, 24% prefer AI-generated content.
Content creation has emerged as a pivotal capability of AI. However, within the media industry, there remains a preference for human-generated content.
According to the latest Ipsos New Norm Tracker, there is a strong inclination towards human-driven content for photojournalism, news articles, and related website content.
Hongkongers expressed a preference for human TV news anchors/reporters (23%) over virtual counterparts (20%), as well as human-generated pictures for news stories (27% vs 20%) and online news articles (23% vs 16%).
Hongkongers also prefer human-generated videos for personal use (23%), movies (27%), and illustrations for artistic purposes (27%)
On the other hand, customers prefer AI-generated content in marketing websites (24% vs 21%).
