HSBC appoints new CEO for life insurance arm
She has over two decades of experience with HSBC.
HSBC has appointed Daisy Tsang as the chief executive officer of HSBC Life Hong Kong, effective 1 August, pending regulatory approval.
Tsang will oversee operations in Hong Kong and Macau, reporting to Edward Moncreiffe, CEO of Global Insurance at HSBC Holdings, and Maggie Ng, General Manager of Wealth and Personal Banking in Hong Kong.
Tsang, with over 20 years at HSBC, is currently Interim CEO and Chief Distribution and Customer Officer.
She will focus on strategic growth in Hong Kong and Macau. The life insurer said it holds a 26% market share in New Business Premiums and 20% in Annualised New Premiums in Hong Kong.
Tsang has been with HSBC Life since 2012. As Chief Distribution and Customer Officer, she relaunched the Macau distribution arm, expanded the broker channel and bancassurance model, and led digital transformation initiatives.
She began her HSBC career in 2000 as a marketing executive.
