Recreation fund applications invited

Grant ranges from $2,000 to $3 million.

According to a report, the Sir David Trench Fund committee has invited non-profit making organisations to apply for recreation project funding, with the aim of encouraging purposeful leisure by young people.

Grants are available for capital works to provide new recreational facilities, for non-capital works to purchase sports and recreational equipment, and for special projects such as building or improving sports facilities to enhance sports training.

The deadline is June 29, and October 31 for the second batch of special projects. The amount for each grant ranges from $2,000 to $3 million.
