In Macau gaming, it has been noted that average daily table revenues picked up to HK$540 mn for the period 19-25 October.
According to a research note from Barclays, this is 21% higher than the previous reporting week (12-18 Oct), which saw HK$448 mn in average daily table revenue (ADR), a record low for the year.
This is also marginally higher (3%) than the September full-month average of HK$525 mn.
Here's more from Barclays:
According to Asia Pacific Gaming, there was some renewed activity in the premium mass segment that contributed to the ADR recovery.
All eyes on the opening of Studio City tomorrow: Studio City is all set for its grand opening tomorrow (Oct 27th). If we assume the opening could stimulate 20% higher ADR for the remaining five days of the month (Oct 27-31), we would see Oct GGR come in at HK$19.8 bn, down 27% y/y.
