HKEX may appoint its first female chairperson in April
Laura Cha sits as a non-executive director at HSBC.
Bloomberg reports that Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd., may soon appoint its first female chairman in HSBC independent, non-executive director Laura Cha, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Cha will succeed outgoing chairperson Chow Chung-kong as his term ends in April.
The 68-year old has also served on Hong Kong’s Executive Council and held other senior positions with regulators in Hong Kong and the Mainland.
