Trading delayed as typhoon moves its way to Hong Kong

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing’s morning session has been canceled amidst the No.8 gale signal.

A Bloomberg report said, “At 8 a.m., Nesat was centered about 350 kilometers south-southwest of Hong Kong, the observatory said. The typhoon is forecast to move west-northwest at about 22 kilometers per hour across the northern part of the South China Sea in the general direction of Hainan Island, it said.”

Meanwhile the government said schools are suspended for the whole day and the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal in Sheung Wan has been closed.
