Citi Hong Kong makes two senior appointments in Institutional Client Group
The new appointments will be effective immediately.
Citi Hong Kong has made two new senior appointments in its Institutional Client Group (ICG), which will be in effect immediately.
The bank has named Charles Lam as the new Hong Kong Head of Markets and Caroline Chan as the Hong Kong Head of Securities Services.
Lam will be leading the bank’s Markets business in Hong Kong, as well as the development and implementation of product strategies.
He will also oversee Citi’s Financial Institutions Sales and Solution businesses both in Hong Kong and in Mainland China.
Prior to his role in Citi, Lam has held positions in sales and trading, including as Head of G10 Rates Flow Sales for Asia ex-Japan, Head of Investor Sales for Hong Kong, and Head of G10 Rates Sales for China and Hong Kong.
For her part, Chan will lead the Hong Kong Securities Services business, which will serve financial institutions, investors and issuers. She will also head Citi Hong Kong’s Trustee and Fiduciary Services.
Before joining Citi in 2011, Chan spent over 20 years in the fund industry in London, Dublin, and Hong Kong.
Citi noted Lam will be reporting to Julia Raiskin, Asia Pacific Head of Markets, and Angel Ng, Hong Kong & Macau CEO and Citi Global Wealth Asia Pacific Head; whilst Chan will also report to Ng, David Russell, Asia Pacific Head of Securities Services, David Morrison, Global Head of Depositary & Fiduciary Services.
