
Estate agent licences drop to 335,377
But agencies are increasing.
According to Barclays, the number of estate agent licences for individuals in Hong Kong declined by 73, from 35,450 at end-March to 35,377 at end-April 2014.
In the past 12 months, the number of estate agent licences has fallen by 1,796.

While the total number of agents has declined, the number of estate agency firms has increased, reaching 3,054 at end-April, the highest level in the past year.
According to the HKET, more estate agents are leaving estate agencies to set up on their own, which has led to an increase in the number of estate agent companies.
