Linklaters appoints HK-based partner as new global practice head
Hwang Hwa Sim will succeed Michael Voisin.
Multinational law firm Linklaters has appointed Hong Kong-based Hwang Hwa Sim as the global practice head for capital markets under a four-year term.
Sim will succeed Michael Voisin, whose tenure will expire on 30 April.
Promoted as a capital markets partner with Linklaters in 2010, Sim has been advising issuers, underwriters and investors on the full range of debt, equity and equity-linked products in China and Asia.
He has notable expertise in dealing with convertible bonds and exchangeable bonds, cross-border bond issuances by major PRC companies including structured bonds, panda bonds, green bonds, and structured pre-IPO investments, according to Linklaters.
Currently, Sim is part of the Legal Experts Working Group for China’s National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors.
