500 flat-for-flat units to be completed in 2016
The Kai Tak blocks, developed by the URA, will comprise 23 storeys on a 1.1-hectare site and will be divided into different vertical zones.
According to Hong Kong Information Services Department, 1,000 units of saleable area ranging from 400 to 600 sq ft will be built at Kai Tak for the flat-for-flat option under the new Urban Renewal Strategy. The first batch is set to be completed in 2016.
The site will be handed to the URA in April next year, said Development Carrie Lam. This wil be after land grant procedures are completed.
