Hong Kong housing expo rolls out
It'll be open until 2 March.
To mark the 60th anniversary of Hong Kong's public housing development, the Housing Authority, in collaboration with the Antiquities & Monuments Office and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, will hold the Growing Up With Public Housing exhibition from today until March 2.
Officiating at its opening ceremony today, Housing Authority Chairman Prof Anthony Cheung said public housing has played an important role in improving Hong Kong life in the past six decades.
He said public housing is part of the Hong Kong success story, and is a collective achievement of which citizens should be proud.
The exhibition showcases models, pictures and videos of public housing in different eras.
It reviews the public housing programme's major developments, and how they have contributed to improving the quality of life for so many people, and to building a stable and progressive society.
The exhibition will be held at the Heritage Discovery Centre in Kowloon Park.
