Land transactions numbered at 17 for 1st quarter

The Lands Department registered 14 lease modifications and three land exchanges in the Land Registry in this year’s first quarter.

Of these 17 land transactions, involving a total of $1.831 billion in land premiums, 10 are located on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon and four in the New Territories. Out of those, 12 were modifications of a technical nature involving no premium.The transactions exclude small-house cases.

Another lot was granted by private treaty to the Urban Renewal Authority during the period for a residential development in Tai Kok Tsui.
